Immerse Yourself In The Revolutionary, New Tension & Trauma Release Exercises at our Workshops
MORE INFO ON EACH WORKSHOP BELOW
GENERAL INFORMATION – Whether you work with stressed or traumatised clients, or if you personally want to free yourself from tension. TRE® is a self-help tool developed by Dr David Berceli that is used successfully throughout the world.
The course will be very practical. Each day you will explore your body and your tremors. We will have theory, discussions and sharing of experiences. You will learn the theory of how trauma is held in the physical body and can be released by the body naturally with neurogenic tremors.
TRE® is a simple technique that uses exercises to activate our instinctual tremor mechanism which releases stress or tension from the body. This could be stress that accumulates from every day circumstances of life, from difficult situations, immediate or prolonged stressful situations, or traumatic life experiences (i.e., natural disasters, social or domestic violence). TRE® is a set of seven exercises that help to release deep tension from the body by evoking a self-controlled muscular shaking process in the body called neurogenic muscle tremors. The uniqueness of this technique is that this shaking originates deep in the core of the body of the psoas muscles. These gentle tremors reverberate outwards along the spine releasing tension from the sacrum to the cranium. It is a self-help technique, once learned, can be integrated into a daily routine. Immediate benefits include: Better sleep, more relaxed, more centred and grounded, and a general overall feeling of calm.
The fee is listed under each Workshop. *Deposit is non-refundable unless TRE Scotland cancels. The final balance is due 2 weeks prior to the workshop and once paid is non-refundable. If the balance is paid prior to 2 weeks a refund of the balance is available.
OBJECTIVES
In a safe and supported environment without judgement or criticism, held with compassion and understanding:
Participants will be introduced to TRE® and the personal tremoring response or go deeper if already practicing TRE.
Participants will explore somatic exercises which support us to be more embodied
Participants will understand the tremor response.
Participants will learn the basic anatomy, neurology and physiology of stress and trauma as it relates to TRE®.
Participants will learn self regulation, containment, and grounding strategies as they relate to TRE®.
Participants will receive an introduction to the Poly-vagal theory and social engagement
“I found both theory and practice very helpful. The atmosphere in the group was relaxing, open and supportive. Having several trainers and trainees gave the workshop a personal and safe touch. The location with the lovely and quiet garden, in the heart of lovely Edinburgh, backed up the positive impression and made it into an overall nurturing experience. Thanks to everyone.”
“I highly recommend T.R.E. workshops with TRE Scotland. I’ve learned so much in Module 1 and Module 2, it was way beyond my expectations- an extraordinary experience! T.R.E. is a life changing adventure to me and the course was a natural next step. It is very well structured, allows the person to learn gradually, in the process. It is practical and fun. I’ve connected with so many amazing people and most importantly, gained the tools and resources to connect deeper with myself and improve quality of my life on every level. Thank you!”
“I went all the way to Scotland cause I felt Vicki was a special trainer. She’s supportive, attentive and adapts to the very individual specificities of each trainee and their experience of the practice while making them feeling part of a community.”
