Melissa Kerr, Dumfries and Galloway

My journey with TRE began after a profound involuntary shaking experience during a therapy session, which opened my eyes to the deep impact of traumatic experiences on the body and the body/mind connection. This realisation, after 30 years of struggling with dysregulation and overwhelm, led me to extensively research the neurogenic tremor reflex and discover the healing potential of TRE.

I work with sensitive and neurodiverse individuals, and I am particularly focused on breaking cycles of dysregulation and dysfunction within families. I work one-on-one with parents and frontline workers, helping them develop self-regulation skills that enhance their ability to co-regulate and support the young people they care for, helping to heal the nervous systems of the generations to come.

With a background in services for children, young people, and the homeless, I am deeply committed to suicide prevention and recovery from sudden loss. My goal is to provide compassionate support and effective strategies for those seeking to overcome their own traumas and lead more balanced, resilient lives.
